Overview: (This should give you an idea of the hierarchy of the knights)

The Knights of the Golden Phoenix are ruled by the Coronal. The Coronal is the head of state. This position is passed down to the first-born of the Coronal, who is of the Tolindar bloodline. This ruling head of state makes all final decisions. However, the Coronal is aided in the ruling of The Knights by the Sinith Elith.

The Sinith Elith consists of the four highest, ranking members of the various disciplines (one warrior, one ranger, one priest and one bard). This group of knights advises the Coronal on most decisions and has a great deal of responsibility. The Sinith Elith takes care of the organization and implementation of the knights and their duties. Since the Sinith Elith is made up of high ranking officials, a lot of the time they will act as ambassadors to other nations or cities (unless the Coronal is personally requested). Often citizens of these cities or nations will see one of the Sinith Elith, or depending on the importance of the mission/visit , they may see numerous Knights traveling with the important dignitary. Among other duties the Sinith Elith members are considered the War Generals of the Knights of the Golden Phoenix. These are the men and women who advise and plan with the Coronal when there is a threat to Davenshire. The Sinith Elith is the most respected position in the Knights of the Golden Phoenix, next to the Coronal.

The Sinith Elith is 'elected' rather than chosen. Now the term elected is used lightly. Not just anyone can cast a vote. It is generally accepted that the Coronal makes the final decision, taking into account all votes cast by the lower, yet still powerful in their own right, generals of the various Phoenix groups. In times of war, the Coronal has the ability to declare a member of the Sinith Elith, but only if tragedy has befallen one of the members. At any given time the Sinith Elith can not have two of any one discipline. Thus, on some occasions (especially in the early years of the Knights) the Sinith Elith has only had 2 or 3 members. The reasoning behind this is that it prevents any one 'party' form gaining too much control.

The Sinith Elith plays a very important role in the everyday lives of the Knights of the Golden Phoenix.

As well as the Sinith Elith, which councils the Coronal, there is a larger group called the Teth Pah, or more commonly, The Council. This is a group of about 30 - 40 people of various disciplines and backgrounds. Here is where most discussions and disputes (common everyday arguments) are heard from the people of Davenshire. The Teth Pah inform the Sinith Elith and the Coronal on the problems the people of Davenshire face everyday.
